the Boundary Line
the Boundary Line

We live in beautiful Western North Carolina near the Tennessee border, right on the Boundary Line so to speak. I have been writing songs for over 40 years and have only recently decided to get serious about producing quality tracks for every song I ever wrote. So thank for listening and I sincerely hope you find something you can use as you explore the Boundary Line with us.

Each song is special to me. They run the gambit from faith kindling to emotional, from sarcastic sermonettes to inspirational. All of them, I believe, have a message worth sharing. Perspectives you will never hear on over-pasteurized faith radio. My lyrics spring mainly from my walk as a disciple of Christ and the scripture but I was heavily impacted by two sources. I have always been inspired by an old 80's band named Christian Stephens and the no compromise juggernaut for Jesus, Kieth Green. I prayerfully craft my lyrics hoping to reach out in similar ways. No Ai involved in my lyrics, it's all from the gut, meat and potatoes.

Our Inspiration
Our Sound

If I had to pin down one style to label the Boundary Line it would be Southern Rock. That being said there are many other style influences that share the 2nd place position. Country, Classic Rock, Folk, Blues and even some Southern Rock and the metal side.

I was just a boy when I first heard Christian Stephens. Their harmonies, melodies and lyrics captured me as a young boy. I sang those songs literally in between singing Led Zeppelin, Rush and Judas Priest! I was genuinely moved time and time again, mind you this was pre-Christ. I firmly believe that album played a large role in my salvation.

Once I started walking with the Lord, Keith Green helped take me from milk to meat, musically. His example and music were an inspiration to me. He seemed to have all the no compromise consistency and evangelical zeal I wanted in my own life. I still look to his example.
